DIY Coffee & Cocoa Facial Mask (for all skin types)

Time for some pampering! :)

Today, I'm going to share with you guys a facial mask that I've been loving over the past few months, and it's SUPER EASY ! :D
The main ingredients are coffee and cocoa, and when combined together, they can provide you with a lot of benefits!

Decrease puffiness in the face and under the eye area
Brighten up your face
Dull skin? This mask will make your skin look more energized and alive! :D

Don't I look like one of those Border Morris dancers? haha

What you need:
4 tablespoons ground espresso/ground coffee (the usual Nescafe coffee you may have at home would also work)
4 tablespoons cocoa powder
dairy product - I use whole milk, but you can also use coconut milk! Try adding a few tablespoons of unflavoured yogurt if you have dry skin.
If you have dry skin, add 2 tablespoons of honey. If you have oily skin, add 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice.

As for the amount of dairy product, I recommend that you add it gradually until a thick paste forms, so that you can easily transfer it onto your face without being too messy :)

How to prepare
1. First, add the coffee and cocoa and mix together. Then, add in the dairy product gradually, and finally add the honey or lemon juice depending on your skin type! (If preparing in winter, you can warm the honey in a water bath if it is in solid form)
2. Then, using a facial mask applicator or a foundation brush, gently apply the mask on your clean face and neck area.
3. I let the mask dry for about 20 minutes. (it will give you a funny feeling when it dries up since it stiffens your face haha)
4. To remove it, I rinse my face with warm water, and if needed, I use some wet cotton pads as well and very gently swipe the mask off.

If you have any left over mask, don't throw it away! :D You can refrigerate it for a good number of days yay ^^

Hope you find this post useful!
Till next time,
Baba
